Out-of-home, offline and physical media

Outdoor screens bought by the hour

Digital screens let you show a different message at breakfast than at rush hour, change creative in hours, and buy specific times instead of a whole month. Many DOOH screens can now be bought programmatically.

FOCUSADS uses DOOH where timing matters: lunchtime offers, weather-dependent products, event days. We measure it with the same exposed-versus-control approach as print outdoor.

Who it is for

  • Food, retail and entertainment brands with time-sensitive offers
  • Advertisers wanting outdoor without print lead times
  • Event promoters

Who it is not for

  • Advertisers expecting click-based measurement

How a booking works

FOCUSADS works through access to accounts you own. We do not claim certified or official partner status with any platform unless stated on this page.
  1. Trigger rules and dayparts defined in the plan
  2. Proof-of-play reports checked

How it works with other channels

Out-of-home advertising (OOH)
Combines with static sites for coverage.
Meta Ads
Same geo and time windows on mobile.

Proof of delivery

You receive the media owner’s own evidence, not our summary of it.
  • Dated photographs of each site or panel, from the media owner, within the first week.
  • Digital screens: play logs or impression reports per screen and day.
  • A site list with addresses and the dates each one ran.

Measurement by geo test

Attribution note. Audience counts are estimates from screen owners.

Geo and time-based lift in search, visits and sales.

What we report

  • Plays and modelled impressions
  • Lift during active dayparts

Landing page and tracking implications

  • Daypart-level baselines
  • QR codes on pedestrian screens

Creative requirements

  • Short motion loops without sound
  • Variants per daypart or trigger

How response ties back to results

  1. Daypart and location test cells
  2. Proof-of-play reconciliation
  3. Lift in visits and search during active windows

Media owners we have checked

Sellers listed here were checked on their own advertising pages for that country, on the date shown. Whether we can run one for you still depends on your account, category and format.

Budget suitability

Test budgets are our planning guidance for a fair monthly test. Platform minimums are separate, and media is paid directly to platforms or media owners.

$5,000 to $25,000

Test budget, per month

Planning guidance; programmatic DOOH allows smaller tests than classic packages.

At US price levels the planner will not fund this channel below $8,000 of media a month per market, because the signal below that is too thin to act on. In other markets the threshold follows the local price level. That is our planning estimate, not a platform minimum.

Questions buyers ask

Last reviewed:

Can we change the ad during a campaign? Yes. Digital screens allow quick creative swaps, which print cannot.

Is programmatic DOOH available? In many markets through DSPs such as The Trade Desk, subject to local supply.

How do you prove it worked? By comparing results in active times and places with similar inactive ones.

Do screens play sound? Most outdoor screens do not; creative is designed for silent viewing.

Show the message at the right hour

Digital billboards, mall and station screens bought programmatically or direct, with dayparting, weather triggers and faster changes than print.
