The rules we follow
Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, requires consent before we store or read information on your device, unless an exemption applies. Exemptions cover storage that is strictly necessary for a service you ask for, security, and remembering choices about how the Site looks. We also follow the EU ePrivacy rules and local equivalents for visitors outside the UK. We ask before loading optional analytics, and this Site loads no advertising pixels.
Strictly necessary and preference storage (no consent needed)
- focusads.session_token and related authentication cookies: keep you signed in and protect your session (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax). Expire when you sign out or the session ends.
- focusads_tenant: remembers which client workspace you selected.
- focusads_consent: stores your cookie choice for up to 6 months.
- focusads_theme (cookie and local storage): remembers light or dark mode.
- Security and rate-limit records are kept on our servers, not on your device.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you choose "Allow analytics", and only when analytics is switched on for the Site, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 in Consent Mode. They set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, which by default last up to 2 years. Advertising storage, advertising user data and personalisation signals stay denied. If you decline, no analytics script loads.
The 2025 amendments allow some statistical analytics without consent. We still ask, because Google Analytics is provided by a third party.
Advertising
This Site does not load advertising pixels, retargeting tags or social media tracking.
Changing your choice
Use "Cookie settings" in the footer at any time to change or withdraw consent; withdrawing is as easy as giving it. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
The UK regulator for cookies and electronic marketing is the Information Commission (ICO), ico.org.uk.
